Conkin
Pelvic Health provides pelvic floor physical therapy services to women, men,
and children for a variety of pelvic floor-related conditions including, but
not limited to: pregnancy/postpartum; urinary and fecal incontinence; pelvic
organ prolapse; constipation; pre and post-surgical therapy (hysterectomy,
prostatectomy, hernia); pelvic pain disorders; sexual dysfunction;
perimenopausal/menopausal changes; diastasis recti; hip, back, sacroiliac
joint, and tailbone pain; bedwetting; and potty training difficulty.
At Conkin Pelvic Health we focus on the whole patient, not only the
diagnosis. We believe in addressing all areas that may be contributing to
your symptoms. Although we specialize in pelvic health, evaluating the pelvis
and the pelvic floor muscles is often only one piece of the puzzle when it
comes to diagnosing and treating pelvic floor dysfunction. Through detailed
discussion of your symptoms, pelvic floor assessment, and thorough
musculoskeletal examination (strength, range of motion, flexibility, postural
alignment, breathing, and body mechanics), we will create an individualized
treatment plan in accordance with your needs and goals.
Brooke Conkin, PT, DPT has over 15 years of experience treating patients with
pelvic floor and orthopedic diagnoses. She has extensive training in pelvic
health through the American Physical Therapy Association, and this is her
area of expertise and dedication.
